The second installment of Wagner’s Ring cycle, “Die Walküre”, stars heroic soprano Christine Goerke as the warrior goddess Brünnhilde, whose encounter with the mortal twins Siegmund and Sieglinde, sung by Stuart Skelton and Eva-Maria Westbroek, leads her on a journey from Valhalla to earthbound humanity. Philippe Jordan conducts.
Sedona’s best Open Mic night, hosted by Dan Rice, is every Thursday, 6-10 p.m. at Vino Di Sedona. Each musician is allotted an amount of time, or number of songs, and every week brings a variety of new talent along with regulars like KB Bren, Randy J, David Harvey, Robin Bryer, Jim French, and Michael Peters who frequently play at Open Mic.
Sedona’s Steakhouse89 hosts some of Sedona’s best performers like Eric Williams, Paulo, David Vincent Mills, Dave Len Scott, Gina Machovina and Phil Rossi.
The art shows help the non-profit generate revenue for the various long term existing animal-related programs, future rehabilitation center as well as potential veterinary spay and neuter clinic.
Thursday, March 28, Main Stage hosts its third installment of Beer School. This event held on the last Thursday of the month is not only educational, but a lot of fun as well. Participants pay $5 each to attend the two-hour “school” that is held by a different brewery every month.
