On Thursday, May 4 the Cottonwood Public Library welcomes local children’s book illustrator Jean Polowski Reilly. Reilly will be doing a special reading of her illustrated book called The Sun is Awake by Carol Paukstis. This is a loving, heartwarming story written from the author's heart, encouraging all grandparents worldwide to spend time with their grandchildren, thus spreading sunshine in their lives. Cheerful, endearing illustrations accompany the lyrical rhyme in this family story. As an educator and reading specialist for twenty-four years, Reilly has read and re-read hundreds of children’s books with her students. Pre-school story time occurs every Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Youth Services Program Room. The library is located at 100 S 6th St in Cottonwood.
