Zella E. Fletcher
Zella E. Fletcher, Cottonwood, died Sept. 15. She was 79.
Mrs. Fletcher was born July 1, 1921, in Wray, Colo.
Mrs. Fletcher enjoyed many hobbies including sewing, rock hounding, silversmithing, canning, and arts and crafts.
Mrs. Fletcher is survived by her husband Charles Fletcher; a daughter, Janice C. Rutherford, Reseda, Calif.; a son, J. Bruce Renzelman, Phoenix; two sisters, Clara W. Jennings, Kingman and Leona Akey, Wray, Colo.; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at the Westcott Funeral Home Sept. 19 from 9 to 10 a.m. A graveside service will follow at Valley View Cemetery at 10:30 a.m.
Lee Henry Pierce
Lee Henry Pierce, Camp Verde, died Sept. 14. He was 86.
Mr. Pierce was born Jan. 24, 1914, in Douglas, Ariz.
Mr. Pierce was a veteran of World War II. He served in the U.S. Army from September 1940 until August 1945. He was a member of the Bushmasters 158th Infantry. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Coconino Highway Department and for the City of Flagstaff. He moved to Camp Verde after his retirement. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Camp Verde.
Mr. Pierce is survived by a daughter, Phyllis Dearborn, Flagstaff, a granddaughter, Cherylle Wolfe and her husband Justin, Flagstaff; a grandson, Thomas Lee Dearborn and his wife Tracey, Phoenix; great grandchildren, Ryan and Levi Wolfe and Jordan Dearborn; two nephews, Dave Pierce, Jr., and Pete Pierce, and a niece, Frances Briggs. He was preceded in death by his wife Vivian in 1994.
A funeral service will be held Sept. 18 at the Westcott Funeral Home, 621 First Street, Camp Verde. Burial will be at Middle Verde Cemetery.
