Calla ‘Callie’ Belle Brewer

Cornville resident and homemaker Callie Brewer died Feb. 19.

She was 82 years old.

Mrs. Brewer was born March 20, 1918 in Bethel, Okla.

A graveside service is scheduled Friday at 11 a.m. in Cottonwood Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Furn D. Brewer; three sons, Jack F. Brewer of Cottonwood, Bobby C. Brewer of Cornville and David Brewer of Flagstaff; seven grandchildren; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Norma C. King

Former Mormon Lake resident Norma King died Feb. 19 in Goodyear.

She was 84 years old.

Mrs. King was born Aug. 1, 1916 in Galesburg, Ill.

She resided in Phoenix at the time of her death.

Survivors include her two daughters, Sandra Bass and Sharon Ellett; two sons-in-law, Jerry Bass and Robert Ellett; a son, Gary King; a daughter-in-law, Jannie King; a sister, Dixie Corson; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Memorial services are scheduled Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Green Acres Mortuary Chapel, 5838 W. Missouri in Glendale.

Ruby M. Proctor

Ruby Proctor of Cottonwood died Feb. 16.

She was born Sept. 8, 1916 in Hazelton, Kan.

Mrs. Proctor came to Arizona 64 years ago from Oklahoma.

She enjoyed making friends and visiting with people. She was a member of Verde Baptist Church and enjoyed her church life.

Survivors include her two daughters, Oweita Calvert of Oklahoma and Etta Augenstein of Yuma; two sons-in-law, Derward Calvert and Fred Augenstein; two sons, Frank John Proctor Jr. and David Ray Proctor; two sisters, Bobbi Alred and Helen Montgomery of Oklahoma; a brother, Lawrence Porter of New Mexico; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

In 1988, Mrs. Proctor was preceded in death by her husband Frank J. Proctor; her parents, Robert and Fennie Porter and two grandsons.

Services were held Feb. 21 at Westcott Funeral Home.

Raymond B. Swett

Former Viotti Furniture and Hardware Manager Raymond Swett of Cottonwood died Feb. 21.

He was 87 years old.

Mr. Swett was born June 25, 1913 in Dallas, Texas.

He was a member of the Verde Valley Community Band and the Verde Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Valeda C. Scott; three sons, Bert Swett of California; Jon Swett of Flagstaff and David Swett of Georgia and one grandchild.

A visitation is scheduled Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 E. Mingus in Cottonwood. Funeral services will be gin at 11 a.m. followed by a burial in Cottonwood Cemetery.
