The Cottonwood-Oak Creek School District monthly board meeting is scheduled for Monday at 7 p.m. in the district office boardroom at 1 N. Willard St. in Cottonwood.
Board members will be asked to approve the district's annual financial reports, student activity and auxiliary fund reports and authorize the acceptance of both certified and classified resignations and contracts for the 2001-02 school year.
Members of the board will also hear a number of policy changes recommended by the Arizona School Board Association includng those that apply to hazing discipline, suspension and dismissal of professional staff and the promotion and retention of students.
The school board will also be requested to approve a second group of policies reviewed in September. These include the revisions of policies that apply to staff grievances, vacation ad holidays as well as the evaluation of the district superintendent, payroll procedures, emergencies and school properties disposition.
A number of the policies will have a first reading before the board, some of the polices scheduled concern sexual harassment, board committees, salary deductions, agenda preparation and dissemination, and parental involvement. Before a district adopts a policy it must be presented to the board for consideration.
