Men arrested in connection with robberies

The Sedona Police Department arrested two men Thursday in connection with two recent Verde Valley robberies.

According to the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office, SPD contacted the men who were driving a vehicle matching the description of a robbery suspect's vehicle used during the robberies.

John Hockman, 39 of Sedona, and Vincent Williams, 37 of Sedona, were charged with two counts of aggravated robbery in connection with robberies at Vito's Pizza in Rimrock and at the Circle K in the Village of Oak Creek on Wednesday.

Hockman and Williams were booked into the Yavapai County Jail. According to YCSO, Thursday night deputies found the cash register from the Rimrock robbery in a wash in the area of Lower Oak Creek Estates.

The investigation is continuing.
