Hunting Easter Eggs in Verde Valley

Staff photo by Philip Wright

THE 3- and 4-year olds group hunted their eggs and prizes around playground equipment and picnic shelters. This age group had to hunt on their own.

The hunts were divided into four age groups: 0-2, 3-4, 5-6 and 7-8. Large amounts of candy and big plastic eggs filled with prizes were scattered about so that almost no child would miss his or her share. Those who did were then given candy after the hunt. The Cottonwood Parks & Recreation Department put on the egg hunts at Riverfront. Easter Egg hunts were also held at about the same time Saturday in Camp Verde and Cornville.
