A Veterans Day program at Fort Verde two years ago.
Park Manager Sheila Stubler said they are partnering with the American Legion by holding a flag-lowering program and flag retirement ceremony. The ceremony called, "The Dignified Disposal of Unserviceable Flags" provides a place to retire American flags in a respectful manner. The Veteran's Day event starts on Nov. 11, at 4 p.m., on the parade grounds.
Entrance to the State Park will be waived for those that would like to attend this ceremony. The flag-lowering ceremony will be at 5 p.m
For more information, call Stubler at Fort Verde, 567-3275.
