Bill Redden

Woodrow William "Bill" Redden, 55, born in Tempe, graduated Blue Ridge High School in Lakeside, and made his home in Camp Verde. Bill died Dec. 3, 2005.

Bill worked many years in the valley including McCrary Tee's as a warehouse foreman, and Family Support Resources as a coordinator caring for children.

Bill will be remembered by his sense of humor, deep love for his family, and community. Bill touched the lives of everyone who knew him with kindness and compassion. He had a great love for the outdoors.

He is preceded in death by his parents Woodrow and Hazel Redden. He is survived by loving wife Cindi along with their 10 children, Sondra, Terra, Heather, Trisha, Crystal, Stacey, Vanessa, Brian, Dustin, and Bret. Bill is also survived by his 19 beloved grandchildren, Nicholas, Amanda, Joshua, Johnny, Jasmine, Brandon, Sergio, Christian, Matthew, Nevaeh, Xavier, Parris, Andrew, Sierra, Skylar, Chelsey, Cassandra, Ethan and Andrea.

Bill has six surviving siblings, Ruth and Mike Miller, Susan Redden, Alta and Larry Douglas, Walter Redden, Alien Redden, and Paul Redden, all residing in the valley. He is also survived by his Aunt Alta Hafford, of Phoenix.

Services will be today, Dec. 7, 10 a.m. at the Fountain of Life International Church, 1055 E. Hearn, Phoenix (10th St. and Thunderbird).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are sent to VFW Post 6739, Camp Verde AZ 86322.

Iris L. Hughes

Iris Lou Hughes, 73, a long time resident of Phoenix and Camp Verde, died Nov. 30, 2005. She is survived by her husband Harold, daughters Linda McClaskey, Debbie Hughes and Kathy Drost. Services will be held in Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions may be made to the Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary #2957, 633 W. Hatcher Road, Phoenix AZ 85021. They will forward the contributions in her memory to the City of Hope.

Alice M. Alsbaugh

Alice M. Alsbaugh, much loved friend, mother and grandmother, of Alamosa, Colo., and Camp Verde, died Dec. 5, 2005, in Camp Verde.

Alice was born to Lena Belle Covington Newsom and William F. Newsom on Nov. 26, 1920, at the family homestead in the Newsom District. She attended school in Alamosa.

She married Walter M. Alsbaugh of Alamosa on March 3, 1940, and together they and their family spent their time doing the thing they loved most, Professional Rodeo. Alice was a member of the RCA, which became the PRCA and held card number 885. She was a secretary/\timer and always had a smile and a joke for everyone. She timed at the National Finals Rodeo both in Oklahoma City and Las Vegas, and was the first WPRA Secretary of the Year in 1993. She was a special lady; she could ride a horse, gather livestock, drive a semi-truck, make fantastic dutch-oven food, and do whatever else needed to be done.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Walter M. Alsbaugh; her sister, Pearl G. Baker; brother-in-law, Charles M. Baker and her parents.

Alice is survived by three children, Art (Linda) Alsbaugh of Alamosa, Colo., Virginia (Roy) Honeycutt of Alamosa, Colo., and Betty Weir, of Camp Verde. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Jerry, Scott and Janet Honeycutt, Walter Ray and Bobby Weir, Leeann Alsbaugh Lesuer and Kerri Alsbaugh Koteskey; as well as seven great-grandchildren, Kaitlin Weir, Chance and Danya Weir, Tel and Orin Honeycutt and Cougar Lesuer.
