The Verde Valley Concert Association (VVCA) has announced its ticket outlets for the 2005-2006 concert season. Season tickets may be purchased for $65 for adults and $25 for students in Cottonwood at the Cottonwood Chamber of Commerce and Planet Video; in Camp Verde at Bashas'; in Sedona at Sedona Books & Music and at Weber's IGA in the Village of Oak Creek.
Season tickets include tickets to each of the six concerts presented at Mingus Union High School during VVCA's 2005-2006 concert series: Ballet Gran Folklorico de Mexico on Saturday, Oct. 1, at 7 p.m.; Cowboy Envy, western trio, on Saturday, Oct. 15, at 7 p.m.; David Syme, pianist, on Saturday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m.; Alfredo Rolando Ortiz, South American folk harpist, on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006, at 7 p.m.; Southwest Brass on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006, at 3 p.m.; and the Glenn Miller Orchestra on Thursday, March 30, 2006, 7 p.m.
Also included in the season ticket price is a ticket to the Rising Stars Concert featuring the winners of the VVCA Youth Music Scholarship program to be held in the spring of 2006. Season ticket holders will also receive a special rate for the "Celebrate the Season" VVCA fundraiser to be held on Saturday, Sept. 24.
Tickets for the Ballet Gran Folklorico de Mexico and for Cowboy Envy are now available at those ticket outlets listed above plus at Food City in Cottonwood. Individual tickets are $18 for adults and $5 for students. Ticket outlets will only accept cash or checks. For credit card purchases or for additional information, contact the VVCA office at 639-0636.
