Richard G. Martinez

Richard Gilbert Martinez, 43, of Clarkdale, died June 10, 2005. He was born Aug. 21, 1961, in Cottonwood, the son of John C. and Vera Martinez.

Richard was a graduate of Mingus Union High. He worked in construction until he suffered a severe head injury in an accident in 1981.

His interests included hunting, baseball and football.

He leaves a son, Christopher Martinez Moore; a daughter, Amy Juanita Martinez Kubrock; his mother, Vera Martinez; brothers, Jon Anthony Martinez and Art John Martinez; a sister, Suzy Martinez Amos; and two grandchildren.

A visitation will be Thursday, June 16, in the Westcott Funeral Home from 4 to 6 p.m. A vigil service will be held at 6 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be June 17 in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery.

Mary Harriet Schrock

Mary Harriet (Gish) Schrock, 89, died in Great Falls, Mont., June 11, 2005. Mary was born Feb. 7, 1916, in Terry, Mont., and married there in 1934 to Lawrence Schrock, who preceded her in death in 1992. Their son, Gerald Schrock, also preceded her in death.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Lu Converse of Cottonwood, son, Larry Schrock of Great Falls, Mont., a brother, Grover Grant of Farmington, Minn., nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was a surgical nurse at the Columbus Hospital in Great Falls, Mont., the church pianist at the Swan Chapel in Swan Lake, Mont., and in her church in Cottonwood. She also was a gardener, big game hunter, and seamstress. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, fishing, riding horses, traveling and reading.

Graveside services will be Saturday, June 18, at 10 a.m., at the Valley View Cemetery in Clarkdale, Arizona.

William D. MacDonald

William "Will" Dougal MacDonald, 25, died May 2, 2005. William was born Aug. 27, 1979 in Prescott to Daniel and Wynona (Taylor) MacDonald.

Will grew up in Dewey, and graduated from high school at the Verde Valley School in Sedona. After graduating he and his family moved to Idleyld Park, Ore., where he enjoyed the outdoors and the mountains. Will loved skydiving, mountain climbing, snowboarding, hiking, camping, swimming, music and reiki, and was a great artist.

Will is survived by his father, Daniel; mother, Wynona; brother, Jeremy MacDonald and wife, Nisa; grandparents Dave and Kay Jenner; grandmother Edna Jane Taylor; grandmother Barbara Taylor; aunt Cynthia (Taylor), and uncle William Zellmer; uncle Dave and aunt Karen McDonald; aunt Janet Hampton; aunt Callie and uncle Armando Hernandez; aunt Delia and uncle Rich Whitehead; aunt Enola Eastman; and great-aunt Betty Ludwick; cousins Wynona, Molly, Mathew, Margaret, Carrie, Thomas, Becky, Jennie, Neil, Meghan, Laura, Colton, and Justin; and many, many friends in the area of Eugene and Idleyld Park, Ore., and in Arizona.

A celebration of Will's life will be June 17, 6-10 p.m. at Goldwater Lake, south of Prescott.
