Delfino E. Rosas

Delfino Espinoza (Cigaritto) Rosas, 87, of Clarkdale, died Nov. 17. He was born Nov. 2, 1918. in Guanayuato, Mexico, the son Yrineo and Cruz Barron Rosas.

Mr. Rosas graduated from Clarkdale High School.

He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Asiatic-Pacific theater earning a bronze star.

Before his retirement, he worked in the mines.

He enjoyed reading, especially Louis L'Amour, and loved all sports.

Mr. Rosas was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Rosas, and a son, David.

His survived by sons, Danny (and his wife Bert) of Cottonwood, Jerry (and his wife Pat) of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Eddie Rosas of Montana; a brother, Nicholas Rosas of Fresno, Calif.; sisters Mary Maneth of Whittier, Calif., and Vera Baker of Cottonwood; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, Nov. 25, in the Cottonwood Cemetery at 11 a.m. VFW Post #7400 will provide military honors.

Ellen E. Cartwright

Ellen E. Cartwright, 89, of Cottonwood, died Nov. 19. She was born Jan. 10, 1916, in Norborne, Mo., the daughter of Alvin and Geneva (Clemens) Arehart.

She attended Norborne High School in Missouri, graduating in 1933. She was a retired real estate agent.

Her memberships included the United Methodist Church, NARFE, Eastern Star and the Christian Woman's Club.

She leaves her husband, Frank M. Cartwright; brothers, Bob Arehart of Kansas City, Mo., George Arehart of Boca Raton, Fla., and Howard Arehart of Omaha, Neb.; four nieces and two nephews.

A memorial service will be held in January at a time and date to be announced.

Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Mountain View United Methodist Church Building Funds, 901 S. 12th St., Cottonwood, AZ 86326.

Rita A. Rodriguez

Rita A. Rodriguez, 83, of Cottonwood, died Nov. 20. She was born Oct. 20, 1922, in Flagstaff.

She was a faithful member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for 33 years.

Mrs. Rodriguez leaves her husband of 63 years, Joe D. Rodriguez; sons, John and David of California and Marty of Cottonwood; daughters, Juliana of Nevada and Rita Jo of California; a brother, Louis of Arizona; sisters Lucy of California and Teresa of Arizona; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A Rosary and vigil service took place Tuesday at the Westcott Funeral Home.

A Funeral Mass will be held today, Nov. 23, in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 11 a.m.. Burial will follow in All Souls Cemetery.
