Mingus board to consider land sale

The Mingus Union High School District Governing Board will cover a lengthy agenda during its scheduled meeting Thursday night.

Reports from administration officials and board members will be the first item for the meeting. Superintendent Sharyl Allen will update the board on current events. During the superintendent's report, Tim Haggerty will give a presentation on a recent health insurance survey. The district's renovation architect will update the board on construction progress.

About 14 items are listed under new business. One of those items is for discussion and possible action on an offer by Matall Development LLC to purchase land owned by the district. Voters in the November election approved the sale of land across the street from the high school.

The board meeting is scheduled for 6:30 in the school cafeteria at 1801 E. Fir St.
