Bernardine I. Haddock, 86, a resident of Clarkdale, died April 16. She was born Jan. 18, 1921, in Lansing, Mich., to Avery and Beatrice Phillips.
Bernardine was not only a housewife, but also was the owner and manager of Laundry in Manistique, Mich.; and past manager of the Maurice's woman's apparel department in Escanna, Mich.
She was the former Ladies Elk's President, and the past Woman's Ministry Leader of the First Presbyterian Church in Manistique, Mich.
She is preceded in death by her son, Richard "Dick" Bedford. She leaves behind her husband of 40 years, Robert W. Haddock, of Clarkdale; her son, James (Oakey) Mitchell, of Australia; her daughters, Sandra (Leonard) Beckman of Tucson, and Nancy Splaine of Mesa; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held at Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood on Friday, April 20, 11 a.m.
