K-9 finds meth in Clarkdale car

A traffic stop on a northbound vehicle on Interstate 17 Friday afternoon resulted in the arrest of a Clarkdale woman.

Jacquelyn Marcy Wright, 26, was stopped at the State Route 179 off-ramp for allegedly making an unsafe lane change that cut-off an YCSO patrol vehicle.

According to the report, Wright exhibited the signs that she was possibly impaired with drugs, but she denied having any illegal substances in her car. YCSO's drug K-9 "Aros" was called in to do a sniff search of Wright's vehicle and alerted on the driver's door. A subsequent search of Wright's vehicle produced a condom that contained approximately 25 grams of methamphetamine in a suitcase behind the passenger's seat.

Wright was arrested and charged with possession/sales of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstruction of justice, possession of dangerous drugs.
