The Yavapai County Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Arizona Community Foundation, is seeking nominations for recognition of outstanding philanthropy in Yavapai County.
Awards will be given for Philanthropist of the Year, an individual distinguished for his or her charitable efforts; Community Benefactor, a community group that has made outstanding charitable gifts; Business Philanthropists, a business noteworthy for its charitable contributions; and Youth Services, an individual under the age of 25 distinguished for charitable efforts.
The recipients must have demonstrated some of the following attributes: outstanding contributions to improving the quality of life in Yavapai County, tangible results from a philanthropic history, innovative solutions to community problems, individual involvement and commitment to charitable causes, leadership by example, giving without personal gain or benefit and genuine caring for people.
Recipients will be honored at the foundation's Joy of Giving awards dinner on Nov. 2 in the Sedona/Verde Ballroom at the Prescott Resort in Prescott. An award of $1,000 will be awarded in the name of the recipient to the Yavapai County nonprofit organization of his or her choice.
