Charles 'Chuck' Clark Mabry, 1916-2007

Charles "Chuck" Clark Mabry, 90, of Lake Montezuma, died Friday, May 11 with his wife and family at his side. 

He was born Oct. 15, 1916, in Biloxi, Miss., to the late James and Ruby (Stephenson) Mabry.  He was very active with Beaver Creek/Lake Montezuma Kiwanis Club and was a 27-year member of the Montezuma Chapel. 

Mr. Mabry had many careers including Travelers Insurance salesman, union carpenter, as well as owner/operator of the Sycamore Haven Bed and Breakfast.  He was a veteran of World War II, having served as a Navy "Seabee." 

Mr. Mabry is survived by his wife, Millie; two sons, Jacques Mabry and Wayne Mabry of Anchorage, Alaska; his step-daughters, Mary Jean Seller of Peoria, Kathy Mendez of Gilbert, and Elizabeth Wells of Houston; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held in his honor Saturday May 19, at Montezuma Chapel, 3450 East Rusty Spurs Road, Lake Montezuma. All are welcome to attend.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Chuck's memory are suggested to Montezuma Chapel.
