Let's not forget about personal responsibility

To Ed Parker, who said, (paraphrased) "The public must understand that flying just got a lot more dangerous," because of Carol Gottbaum: Ed, I fly out next Wednesday for Europe, and I don't feel any danger at all. Why?

1) I plan to get there 2 hours before my flight (not right as the plane is departing), 2) I plan to be under the influence of NO drugs or alcohol, 3) I plan to be courteous and respectful of all airport authorities, 4) I don't plan to scream, struggle nor resist any lawful commands that might be given to me.

The death of Carol Gottbaum was tragic. I'm so sorry for her and her family. But please don't lose sight of the importance of everyone's personal responsibility to act the proper way in any circumstance - not just at the airport.
