60th Wedding Anniversary

Ruth Clark, daughter of Isaac and Nina Clark of Cornville, and Preston W. James, son of Abe and Amy James of Cottonwood, were married by Verde Hanks in the Old LDS chapel in Old Town Cottonwood on July 3, 1948 and later sealed in the Mesa Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at Mesa. Flower girls pictured in the wedding photo were Judy Edens, daughter of Balis and Lucille Edens, and Sherry Clark, daughter of Milton and Martha Clark, all of Cottonwood. Preston and Ruth currently reside in Cottonwood. A recent celebration of their 60th anniversary was held at Su Casa banquet room in Clarkdale with their sons, their wives, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Attendees came from Florida, Kansas and all over Arizona.
