Don 'Pete' Shill 1924 - 2008
Don "Pete" Shill, 83, of Camp Verde died Monday, July 7, 2008. Pete was born in Mesa on Oct. 30, 1924, to the late Wright Paynter and Lillie (Rothrock) Shill.
Pete worked many years as a brick mason, having built many structures in the Verde Valley and abroad. He was an avid horseman and was known for his roping skills.
He is survived by his sons, Edward (Dana) Shill of Camp Verde and David (Janet) Shill of Ahwatukee; his daughter, Debbie (Craig) Click of Show Low; his sister, June Bueler of Chandler; his brother, Henry Shill, of Camp Verde; and four grandchildren,
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Dorothy.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 360 S. Fifth St., Camp Verde with a visitation two hours prior to the funeral service.
Bueler Camp Verde Funeral Home assisted the family.
