Letter: Cottonwood has once again shown its caring spirit

Editor:

The Tavasci Elementary School staff has dedicated a majority of its fund raising this year to Jaziel Olmeda and his family. Jaziel would be in fourth-grade at TES this year if he weren't battling Leukemia at Phoenix Children's Hospital in Phoenix.

He is attending school in the Phoenix area but misses his friends, teachers and school dearly. Tavasci staff in partnership with the Cottonwood Arby's recently held an Arby's Family night.

We wish to thank our families, friends and the Cottonwood community for supporting the Olmeda family and our neighborhood school in this time of need. We not only had fun, we had a record breaking night, all in honor of Jaziel Olmeda.

The Cottonwood community has once again shown its caring spirit and everyone at Tavasci Elementary is sincerely grateful.

We would like to thank Cheri Mark from Farmer's insurance personally for her wonderful efforts in supporting this event.

She went above and beyond. Jaziel says thank you and is anxiously awaiting his return to Cottonwood.
