Jail District Vote open houses Monday, Tuesday

The Yavapai Sheriff's Office is holding a series of informational meetings to explain the proposed Jail District Sales Tax.

This week's the sessions were held in Chino Valley, Prescott and Prescott Valley. Beginning Monday, the info meeting will come to the Verde Valley. The events allow citizens and voters the chance to meet with county representatives and get details on the Jail District, Sheriff's Office Detention Facilities, and the ¼ of a cent sales tax increase proposed for voter consideration in the General Election, Nov. 4.

The Open Houses will start at 4:30 p.m. and conclude by 7 p.m. Citizens may come anytime during these hours on the scheduled dates. The locations have been selected for the convenience of voters living in Verde Valley areas.

Meeting Schedule

Monday, Oct. 13 - at the Sedona Fire Station, 125 Slide Rock Road Village of Oak Creek.

Tuesday, Oct. 14 -at the Verde Valley Fire, 2700 E. Godard Road, Cottonwood
