Governor's budget realities: 'Funny math just doesn't work'

Gov. Jan Brewer has said the state will need to cut overall spending next year by $1 billion though she has yet to produce a list of exactly where she would trim. But she said the state's financial situation should not result in damages to education. "I believe that education is far too important,' she said, referring to her speech last month to lawmakers where she called education "the seed corn of our future.'
