Raymond Siar 1933 - 2009
Raymond Lee Siar, 76, passed away on Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, at his home in Cottonwood, AZ. Ray put up a brave fight with cancer for many years. But Ray always had a big smile and never complained. He was very generous and known by all for his fabulous cooking skills. He especially enjoyed baking for friends and family. Other hobbies included fishing, horseshoes, and playing with his grandkids.
Ray was born Nov. 6, 1933, in Roseville, Pa., to George H Siar Sr. and Flossie Henry Siar. He lived in Pennsylvania with his wife and daughter lived until the three of them moved to Arizona in 1964. After moving to Arizona he worked for Motorola for 26 years retiring in 1992.
Ray was married to his wife Lena (Deemer) in 1951. They just celebrated their 58th Anniversary in November. They have one daughter, Susan Collinsworth and “son” James Collinsworth and two grandsons; James Collinsworth II (Kellee Morris) and Jeffrey Collinsworth (Debra), and three great-grandkids; Christina, Rylynn, and Siar. Ray’s family were his “pride and joy” and they adored him.
Raymond is also survived by three siblings; Alice Fyock, Ethel Geist, and Jim Siar; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting donations be made in Ray’s name to Northern Arizona Hospice, 269 S Candy Lane Cottonwood AZ 86326. Share your condolences at www.buelerfamilyfuneralhome.com
