This letter is really to the unidentified woman who demanded the cross be removed from Town property. I am not a full-time resident of Camp Verde, but I consider it my second home, having many friends who live in the community, and my church away from home with Pastors Michael and Norma Garrison being my pastors, and their church being my church when I am visiting in the community, which is often.
I say to that woman, you are a coward! To be unidentified is not protecting you or your property it is a cowardly way of control. Why do you think you have any more rights as a non-Christian (which you can do freely because we still live in a free country) than Christians.
We founded and built this country on "In God We Trust"! You are free to choose because of the Christian principles and values our forefathers lived in because of their belief in God as their creator. You may think you have won the battle, but you have not won the war.
I just say, "Father forgive her," because she knows not what she does.
Your actions tell me you have made yourself your own God. The God I know and serve does not look kindly on that attitude.
I do pity you, not as much for you believing what you believe, but for not having enough integrity to stand up for what you believe. You see I am standing up for what I believe, and that is that Jesus is Lord of my life. Your personal issues go much deeper than the cross on the wall, that cross is just a piece of wood, but what is stands for is much more than the piece of wood.
Maybe some godly counsel is in order for you. I am sure that if you ask Pastor Michael Garrison, he would be happy to provide that for you. I know he stands up for what he believes so therefore he is a man of integrity.
A friend of Camp Verde
