Dean Maxey Prock was born in Red Oak, Okla., on May 5, 1925, and passed away on April 7, 2010, in Prescott, Arizona.

Dean was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Louise.

Dean served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific Fleet. After discharge, Dean began his career with the Southern Pacific Railroad where he worked until retiring in 1975. Dean and Louise moved from Phoenix to Camp Verde in 1975.

He is survived by his daughters, Joyce Elms, Gail Houser; and son, Roger Prock; five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Dean was loved by many and will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him.

A military service with honors will take place at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix.
