Doby Hughes 1937 - 2010

Doby Hughes, 72, of Cornville, Ariz., was born Dora Lou Lane on Sept. 29, 1937, went with the Lord peacefully on Jan. 6, 2010.

Doby was born in Oxnard, Calif., but was raised since birth in Phoenix, Ariz. She attended Phoenix Union High School. Doby and husband Quentin Hughes moved to the Verde Valley in 1971 with their family.

Doby was very active in the Cornville 4-H, Mingus FFA and the Verde Valley Fair Association while her children were young. She was a member of the Verde Valley Women of the Moose Chapter 1854 since 1979. She was loved by everyone who knew her and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her children, son Ed Hughes and wife Cheryl, son Tim Crane and wife Suzie, son Tom Hughes and wife Debbie, daughter Donna Crane-Wilson and son Gerry Crane, Grandchildren, Chauncey Miller, Melissa Crane-Herman, Jordan Crane, Mitchell Haines, Bethany Haines, Logan Crane, Taylor Crane, Rylee Hughes, Shelby Hughes and 5 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Quentin Hughes and grandson Brandon Knapp-Crane.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday January 9, 2010 at the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge, Clarkdale, Ariz., at 1 p.m. Please share your condolences at www.buelerfamilyfuneralhome.com. Bueler Cottonwood Funeral Home assisted the family.
