The League of Women Voters Sedona - Verde Valley is co-sponsoring a candidate forum with Yavapai College for State Legislative District 1 - State Representative Candidates at Yavapai College, Verde Campus.
State Legislative District 1 forum will be held on Thursday, July 22, from 6:30-8 p.m. in Building M - Room 137 (Community Room) on the Verde Campus, Yavapai College, 601 Black Hills Drive, Clarkdale.
Candidates for the two State Representative seats will be Andy Tobin (incumbent), Karen Fann, Noel Campbell and Lindsay Bell.
Voters throughout the Verde Valley are encouraged to come and hear the candidates' views on important issues facing our state and nation. Written questions from the audience will be accepted.
The Primary Election is on Aug. 24, 2010. The final date to register to vote for the Primary Election is July 26, 2010. You can register to vote at the Yavapai County Election office, located at 10 South Sixth Street, Cottonwood or forms can be obtained from City or Town Clerk's offices, libraries throughout the Verde Valley, Department of Motor Vehicles, and United States Post Offices. You can also register to vote online at www.servicearizona.com - it is easy and convenient. The last day to request an early ballot by mail is Aug. 13.
