Mingus Union High student wins $1,000 scholarship

Oil Can Henry’s announced the winners of their first scholarship program. Kelsey Huber, a student at Mingus Union High School, received a $1,000 scholarship.  She plans to study nursing at Scottsdale Community College next year. 

More than 1,000 applicants from graduating high school seniors in the communities Oil Can Henry’s serves in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Minnesota, Oregon, and Washington submitted an essay on “What trust means to me.”

Award winners each received a $1,000 scholarship that can be used towards tuition to advance their education.  Scholarship winners were selected on the basis of academic record, leadership, participation in school and community activities, and work experience in addition to their essay submission.
