Bill and Lorraine Blanchard of Sedona are proud to announce the graduation of their daughter, Elaine Laemmerich, from Northern Arizona University with a Masters degree in Nursing. She was honored at a Recognition Ceremony as the Distinguished Graduate Student. She was also the co-winner of the Nursing Spectrum Award for clinical education/ teaching from Flagstaff Medical Center

Elaine was born and raised in the Sedona Verde Valley area, graduating from Mingus Union High School in 1974. After receiving her RN degree in 1983, she worked in several areas of nursing including cardiac CCU, neonatal ICU, Guardian Air medical transport, emergency room, and is now a diabetes educator at Flagstaff Medical Center.

Elaine has two sons and seven grandchildren, Ezra and Justin and their families came from Illinois and Colorado for the graduation.

Elaine is planning to take the State boards in July to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. Elaine and her husband Jim live in Flagstaff.
