VILLAGE OF OAK CREEK -- Steve Skurja of Yavapai Silent Witness says the agency continues to try to identify a man wanted in a home invasion robbery in the Village of Oak Creek July 25.

Skurja says, so far, the clearinghouse has received several calls with tips, but continues to seek information to close the case.

The suspect entered the Apache Drive home, confronting the occupants. The suspect carried both a handgun and an electric stun gun, demanding money. Police say he fought with the husband and wife victims during the struggle and the gun discharged, but no one was hurt by the gunfire.

Police do, however, believe that the robber may have received injuries to his hands and face during the struggle.

The wanted man is a husky Caucasian or Hispanic man, estimated to be about 35 years old and standing 5 foot 7 inches tall. He was wearing a black plaid jacket, brown belt, rubber shoes and carried a black back pack. And some type of material covered a portion of the robber's face.

The robber left the area on foot and no vehicles were heard leaving the area
