Nurses Network is 25! Offering comprehensive home care and custodial services that allow individuals to live independently at home, Nurses Network is dedicated to providing exceptional services in the home -- the true healing environment.

Nurses Network was the first in the area to recognize the importance of insuring seniors independent living and self-determination in receiving healthcare and daily living support. It was founded in 1986 by two nurses who saw a need in rural Northern Arizona for home healthcare for the growing senior population.

“It is all about understanding the patient’s healthcare needs, and having a sensitivity to develop a plan of care that best suits the individual and supports the family,” says Ivy Stearman RN, NP, founder and owner. “Through our Home Health division, we provide skilled, quality care, 100-percent funded by Medicare and covered by most health insurance plans. Our Private Duty division has diverse in-home care services that are based on the patient’s ongoing needs. All home care at NNI is physician ordered. We talk with your physician for proper coordination of services.”

Types of services available through Nurses Network Home Health, funded by Medicare, may include:

• RN or LPN skilled nursing care management

• Physical, occupational, and speech therapy

• MSW for Social service consulting

• Certified nursing assistants (CNAs) for custodial care needs

These services can meet the needs of acute post-surgical care, as well as ongoing needs for stroke rehab, wound care, hypertension and pain management.

The only state licensed company in Northern Arizona for private home care services, Nurses Network provides medical and non-medical services ranging from custodial to high-tech care and everything in between:

• Daily living assistance

• Respite care

• Support for hospice patients

• Respiratory / Infusion services

• Pediatric care

• Ongoing health management including medication set up, vital signs monitoring, bowel care management, and safety checks

Daily living activities can include:

These services can be covered by insurance, private funds, long-term care insurance, as well as Veterans Administration benefits.

“We are a one-stop resource for our clients in the Verde Valley, regardless of their current or changing home healthcare needs,” says Stearman. “We also have offices in Prescott Valley and Flagstaff.”
