Letter: A Conservative vs. a Socialist debate

Editor:

The debates next fall between Gingrich (who I expect to be the Republican nominee) and our present Socialist President should be great theater.

With Obama trying to defend his failure after four years, and no monitor to read notes from, the public will get to see the real Obama. Given four years to try to fix our economy, and the old line of blaming Bush, he now resorts to blaming our failed Congress. The Democrats controlled all three branches of Government for a full two years, and nothing was accomplished, so the voters made a change in 2010.

When we hear that President Obama has not met or talked to any Republican leaders in over five months, is it any wonder there’s no hope for the next year that any thing positive can help our economy, create more jobs, and bring a tone of friendliness we all miss.

Many of us remember when Reagan was President, it was actually a joy to watch one of his press conferences. He even had the Democrats laughing. Has Obama ever had a happy tone since he became president.

When the media wants to ask a question, Obama heads for the door and lets Jay Carney (his press secretary) cover for him We can only wish there are brighter days ahead.
