Ann Whoolery 1936 - 2010

Ann Whoolery, 74, of Sedona, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2010. She was born November 12, 1936 in Washington, Pennsylvania to Roland Messenger and Sophia Abarro.

Ann attended Washington Elementary, Clarion University and CT State University. She was President of Board of Directors of Oak Creek Estates, taught Science in public schools, and co-founder of the Special Education School in CT.

She enjoyed fishing, animals, science, cards, RV traveling and casino entertainment.

Ann was a wonderful friend, mother and grandmother. She was loving, generous and fun loving.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents Roland and Sophia. She is survived by son Thomas Whoolery (Rebecca) of Glen Elder, Kansas; grandchildren Garrett, Mitchell and Corey Whoolery of Glen Elder, Kansas; brother Roland Messenger of Virginia and longtime friend and business partner Terri Zammataro of Sedona.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2011, at 11:30 am at Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood.
