On loan

Today was an interesting, fun day. Work, visit with friends that stopped in and then off to the ponds with Corky to escape the confines of the house and breathe some fresh air. On the way down there we stopped in and saw a friend who loaned me a couple of Canon lenses to try out before I buy more and on the way out from his drive to Loop Road I lowered the driver's window in the van to get this shot of Cathedral Rock in the mist and rain; a bit of sunshine was also spilling across the trees in the foreground. When I started working on the photo a few minutes ago I also picked up on the hawk in the upper left portion of the sky. I didn't get much down at the ponds and cut it short when a system looked and sounded like it was moving in. barely made it back to the van before the skies opened up and we were enveloped by sheets of rain. We both love good storms so it was fun; also got to thinking what a great "loaner" this life is and how much there is to enjoy and to share and to be grateful for.

Four hours until I fill the first cup of coffee for the day and get it going; if it is raining I may just sit and look out the window for a little while, brush Q and enjoy a good cup of Greenwell Farms Kona Coffee.

Have a wonderful day and relish the loan of life you have been granted ... something to count as a blessing.

Cheers

Ted
