VILLAGE OF OAK CREEK -- Yavapai Silent Witness is offering a $1,000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest of a robber wanted in a home invasion in the Village of Oak Creek.
The subject fled from the home and has not been seen or identified.
About 6 a.m. Monday morning, a man, described as a short, husky Hispanic or Caucasian, forced his way into the home on Apache Drive. He confronted the occupants, a husband and wife, while holding a handgun as well as an electric stun gun. He demanded money and fought with the couple.
The subject's handgun reportedly discharged during the struggle, but Sheriff's investigators say no one hit or injured. However, the detectives believe the robber could have received injuries to his hands and face during the fight.
The robber is estimated at about 35 years old, standing 5 feet 7 inches tall with a husky build. The man was wearing a black plaid jacket, brown belt, rubber shoes and carried a black back pack. Plus, he was wearing some type of material that covered a portion of his face.
The robber left the area on foot and no vehicles were heard leaving the area.
