Shirley Loy Jackman died April 27, 2011, at an assisted living facility in Tucson, Arizona. Shirley was born in Cornville, Arizona, August 31, 1929, the daughter of Edward and Priscilla Loy.
She attended Cornville Elementary School and graduated from high school in Clarkdale, Arizona.
During most of her adult life, Shirley was employed by the human resources department of the Veterans Administration Hospital in Phoenix. She retired with her husband, Charles Jackman, to Cornville in the early 1980s.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her brother, Richard Loy and is survived by a sister, Ruth Debussi of Phoenix and brothers, Gene of Phoenix, Robert of Cornville and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
Graveside services will be held at 9:00am in the morning on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at the Cottonwood Cemetery in Cottonwood, Arizona.
