At the ponds

... it was a very good day, the northern ducks are arriving, a Bald Eagle left his perch looking for prey and was edged by the setting sun and some Coots were basking in golden waters; I was taking in the beauty and the quiet of the ponds and all the life that abounds there. Corky stayed in the van while I made the rounds and as always I shared the photos with her when I got back. Fun to go through the shots and confirm that you did pretty well.

The turkey I roasted on Friday was moist, flavorful and produced a wonderful gravy; confirmation at least that it is okay to buy a Butterball Turkey and keep it frozen for a year or more. Sometimes I buy things because they sound so good and I am hungry and forget that when it comes time to actually cook the food, it just seems like too much work ... and time passes.

Monday and the new week are well underway. We hope that your day is filled with blessings, knowing that ours will be so too.
