COTTONWOOD – “We are not Murphy’s anymore,” said Susan Grant, general manager of Renegades Steakhouse at 747 S. Main St. in Cottonwood. “We are a brand new restaurant.”
Grant said Renegades Steakhouse has all new staff, new management and a new menu.
“Our menu is Cottonwood food for Cottonwood’s people,” Grant said.
She said the new menu is based on Western style steaks, as well as fish, including catfish and salmon, and burgers.
“We have a lot of good steaks and healthy options,” Grant said.
“Our novelty item on the menu is Cowboy Caviar (mountain oysters),” she said.
Grant explained that Murphy’s in Prescott is still open and not affected by the change in Cottonwood. Both restaurants are owned by Fork in the Road, Inc. Murphy’s in Cottonwood was open at the location for 12 years.
Grant describes the new menu as “a value driven menu for families, so families can afford to come out to eat.”
Steaks start at $9.99.
Renegades Steakhouse opens with about 20 employees, but Grant said she is still hiring. In order to give better service, restaurant servers will be assigned fewer tables, according to Grant.
“We still have our banquet rooms,” Grant said. Those rooms are available for just about any kind of group gathering, including birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and meetings for organizations and businesses.
Happy Hour will run from 2 to 6 p.m. every day.
The restaurant opens at 11 a.m. every day for lunch. It stays open until 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday. On Friday and Saturday the restaurant is open until 10 p.m., and on Saturday karaoke is featured until 11 p.m.
