Popular Sedona Arts Center photography instructor Susie Reed will be teaching a new four-part class for photographers of all levels who love taking pictures and want to improve their work. It will held be on Sundays 1-4 p.m. and Mondays 6-9 p.m., Sept. 11-19, at the Sedona Arts Center in the Gallery Building's South Studio.
In this class, award-winning fine art and commercial photographer Susie Reed will explore what can be done at photo shoots and after to help create better pictures. She'll demonstrate effective Photoshop tools, discuss composition, criteria to use for editing, give thought provoking assignments and do individual critiques to help students hone their skills and effectively present their work. She'll provide tips for entering photo contests, based on her experience judging several and discuss the role inspiration; instincts and intuition play in the creative process.
Susie Reed's critically acclaimed work has been exhibited in the International Museum of Photography, the Cooper Hewitt Museum, the De Young Museum and elsewhere. Her pictures have been in numerous publications and on an array of products that have sold worldwide including several editions of her Southwest Rock Art and other beautiful photographic calendars.
