... was a very good one for Corky, Q and me. For Corky the day was brightened by visits with friends; Q enjoyed a couple of excursions into his private alfalfa patch which he shares with the rabbits and others that frolic in it and for me a day immersed in law and then some time at the ponds trying out a combination of lens and extender that gave me 640mm of effective lens at f5.6 and I was pleased with the results. I actually got some shots I like better than the heron shots from yesterday. The real treat came after I left the ponds to come home. Yesterday a few miles down Page Springs road heading towards Cornville, Corky and I saw a patch of beautiful sunflowers by the road but didn't stop. Today I did stop and here is one of several shots that I got. Something majestic about a large sunflower waving in the breeze against a cloud filled sky of blue and backlit by the sun. At any rate I enjoy the photo and hope you do too. The bee seems to be enjoying the day too as he collects food for the hive.
We topped the evening with dinner at the Sedona Golf Resort and then a quiet evening. Hoping to get out early in the morning and see if I can find some bobcats, but we'll see.
Into the holiday weekend and we wish you and yours a wonderful time. Be safe, be well and share your joy.
Back Monday morning. It is September and my favorite time of year is here.
May words unkind and false ne'er pass your lips,
Nor harsh and low ambitions drive you on.
