C-OC developmental screenings set for Oct. 5

Free developmental screenings are offered by the Cottonwood-Oak Creek School District for preschool children between the ages of 3 to 5 years. The screenings are available for children in that age group who live in the district and are not already receiving special education services or are enrolled in kindergarten.

The screenings check a child's speech, motor, cognitive, adaptive and social development.

Other screenings are available for children aged birth to 3 years. Those screenings are available through the Arizona Early Intervention program. For an appointment for the birth to 3 years age group screenings call (800) 841-5201.

The district screenings for ages 3 to 5 years are generally offered on a monthly basis. The next developmental screenings at C-OC will be offered Wednesday, Oct. 5. For an appointment, call (928) 634-2288.
