Local law enforcement agencies from all over the Verde Valley took part in the annual Shop with a Cop on Saturday, December 8. The day began at the Cottonwood Police Department when officers were paired with pre-selected children, recommended for the event by local schools and service agencies. Together the kids and officers shared breakfast, compliments of Randall's Restaurant. Forming a line of patrol cars that made up an impressive motorcade, the group traveled to the Cottonwood Airport where the kids greeted Santa Claus, who flew in by way of helicopter. The final stop on the whirlwind tour was Wal-Mart, where the children shopped with a budget of $150 each.
