Mary Ellen Leeper, 87 of Cottonwood, passed away on October 15, 2012. She was born on November 6, 1924 in Mack, Colorado. to Theodore Wassenberg and Goldie Todd.

Mary was a Life Member D.A.V. in Ft. Collins, CO and a nature lover. She belonged to AARP, Clemenceau Museum, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, former President and member of the Immaculate Conception Ladies Guild, secretary of the Business and Professional Women’s Club, member and secretary of the Mobile Home Association and she sold poppies for the Veterans.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and husband Arnold “Bud” Leeper. She is survived by sister Patricia A. Rose of Colorado Springs, CO and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be held on June 30, 2013 at 9 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cottonwood.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Clemenceau Museum in Mary’s name, P.O. Box 511, Cottonwood, AZ 86326.
