Merna Lindermayor’s 102nd birthday

A party was held for Merna Lindermayor, former Sedona resident, at the Cottonwood Village Assisted Living Facility.

There, surrounded by friends, family and neighbors from her old Sedona Meadows neighborhood , she celebrated her 102nd birthday on Jan. 17.

Merna was also one of five Sedona area centenarians to participate in the Sedona Historic Preservation Commission’s Project: “Circle of Life” a collaborative work of art to commemorate Arizona’s Centennial.

Ms. Lindermayor worked as an artist her entire life and had her illustrations reproduced in such publications as Look and Life magazines.

She was married to an early Disney animator and their son was also an artist.

She moved to Cottonwood Village just this past year and continues to make new friends and enjoy life.
