Leaving

... and so it was that this pair of mallards erupted into flight with water droplets flying everywhere and muscles straining, forcing their feet and wings to lift them nearly straight up and into flight. I got this shot down at the ponds a couple of days ago and as always came away from the outing with new respect for all that is and those with whom we share this little space ship we call earth.

Corky and I had a good day and I dove back into the practice full on. Corky's speech continues to improve and hopeful that each day finds a little more improvement. She is once again able to drive the wheelchair and today tried to make corners at full speed and took out two large corners in the hallways. Suggestions (spelled @#(*^%) for lower speeds were made and the drywall patching materials were again in use. After twenty years of repairing holes in the walls I am getting better at it than Corky is at avoiding collisions with the fixed position walls and objects she encounters. Actually I did laugh and it was good to have to do the repairs again ... I think. A wonderful salad for dinner prepared by a friend of ours and we began watching pre-recorded episodes of Justified ... fun.

Q enjoyed several outings and is now enjoying dreams of his daily exploits curled up on the chair next to me; think it is time for me to join him in restful repose ... but not on the chair.

Have a wonderful day and take a little time to enjoy the beauty of the sunrise and a good cup of coffee ... Columbian Supremo Versalle in about four and a half hours.

Cheers

Ted
