A narrow

... and small spit of sand by an ocean whether of water or the vastness of the universe through which we daily travel; it is ours to wonder at, to ponder, to be amazed by or as is all too common to simply ignore and be oblivious of it. Life seems to get in the way of our appreciation of all that is. Thanks once again to my friend Dean Singer who took the photo of me shooting a sunset in Half Moon Bay, thanks to NASA for the great Hubble shot and also to Q who daily inspires the magical aspects of life. This was fun and I'm planning on doing a series of these compositions.

I got a shot of a Coopers Hawk that had just launched an attack on a dove in the arroyo across the cart path from our home this morning. Coopers Hawks are ferocious predators usually taking their prey in flight; frequently in aerial combat in very bushy areas; just look how intense his focus is and be glad you are not a little tweety bird flitting happily bush to bush. So much nicer to be at our end of the food chain on planet earth ... then there is forever just outside our daily thoughts.

Looks like I blew right through my curfew again ... whoops! So tonight I dream of Hawks and reality too vast to comprehend.

Cheers

Ted
