Taking

... life seriously? Me thinks that it just a little too much fun to take much of anything all that seriously let alone the daily dose of life we get to enjoy -- or not -- the choice is ours each day. Looking through some recent photos I have taken this month I found this image of a greenhead milliseconds after he touched down and began spraying water all over the place and it reminded me of the recent ads featuring a piglet having a blast on a luge sled coming down a hill going wheeee. He has the same quizzical expression and I can see him passing up a dude on a surfboard as he goes by him. So have a little fun today; it is allowed!

Upgraded all the maps, terrain and navigation data for our flight computer today and redesigned the various screens I can display. Looking at the photo again I am thinking that I have to find a way to get a rating for seaplanes. Wonder if I can get floats for the Lambada? Corky and I used to take the seaplanes from Long beach over to Catalina and once flew a float plane in Northern Wisconsin off the Upper Eau Clair lake where my folks had a log cabin ¡K maybe a bit more than a cabin º Each time we flew off water it was a true adventure. Think I would spend more time just taking off and landing than going anywhere ¡K that would be the fun.

Mid-week already and I am only two days behind in my work. That is an improvement over the past month or so and I am getting caught up. Currently I have less than 100 emails to respond to that came in over the last month or so and am getting caught up; got a little overwhelmed when Cork was in the hospital. Thank you so much for all the wonderful emails of encouragement, good thoughts and prayer. They are appreciated.

Loved the blustery weather today and when we were at the airport the winds were sustained 25kts gusting to 37 kts. Felt like more, but that was what the AWOS was squawking.

Have a wonderful day and time for a little rest before the coffee pot grinds wonderful cast iron frying pan roasted Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee beans to a fine grind and brews ten cups of pure enjoyment. How can a day be anything but terrific with a start like that?

Cheers ¡K and let yourself be seen being cheerful.

Ted
