Gallery: Walkin' On Main 2012

Once again, Old Town Cottonwood was transformed into a giant block party for "Walkin' on Main," the annual street festival sponsored by the Cottonwood Parks and Recreation department, on Saturday, November 10. There were plenty of tents full of art by local artists, including Mingus High School students working in photography, painting, ceramics and drawing. Mingus students also braved the somewhat chilly temperatures to work on a large chalk mural created directly on the pavement. At the other end of the street, students from the Mingus Hot Rod Club held court in the classic and hotrod car area. Yavapai College sponsored a wine tasting area with 8 local vineyards participating. Live music from Hans Olson, Carvin Jones, and the Tommy Dukes Band got people on their feet to dance, or kick back to enjoy the bluesy sounds.
