Sally Ann Lawrence

March 21, 1944 – November 18, 2012

Sally was born in Detroit Michigan to Lancel and Ann Lawrence. She grew up in Dearborn, Michigan graduating from Maples Elementary School, and Fordson High School (class of 62). She also graduated from the University of Michigan (class of 66).

Following graduation Sally worked, initially, as a teacher in Anchorage, Alaska. Following her teaching involvement she became involved in a variety of “start-up” business. Her interests allowed her to travel extensively world wide and she had a passion to learn and explore. For the last 10 years she has been living in Cottonwood, Arizona, and at the time she entered Hospice was in San Diego, California to be with family as a decade long battle with cancer finally and peacefully ended. Sally is survived by her sister, Margaret (Tony) Raisigel, and her brother Fred (Regina) Lawrence, along with two nephews, Samuel “Jay” Lawrence (Lisa), and Scott Lawrence. She is great aunt to Ava and Lance Lawrence. At Sally’s request her ashes have been spread off the California coast, near “Point Loma”. It was Sally’s specific request that any recognition of her passing be limited to all she knew spending time with their families.

The Susan G Komen and San Diego Hospice along with many others have been instrumental in her care. Information provided by family members.
